Freeda is a private business network designed for high-achieving, ambitious wedding business owners. Our goal is to connect and support established wedding businesses and brands so that they have a private and trusted network of leaders to turn to while navigating similar challenges.
Our membership experience is designed for wedding business owners who have run their own business for at least 7 years with an annual revenue of at least $200K. We vet applicants for revenue and experience to ensure our members can get support from true peers and use a range of factors to determine if your seniority level meets the criteria for the Freeda community.
Diversity is core to Freeda. We want our member base to be a reflection of what the weddings industry should be, not what it is today. Our aim is to build a network of successful business leaders that serves multiple and intersecting identities and we welcome leaders who identify as men, women, transgender, nonbinary and gender non-comforming.

Freeda is not for everyone. It’s not designed for newbies in their first few years of business (there are plenty of resources and networks out there for them!). It’s not designed for business owners who are only looking to network in order to find their next big client.
It is designed for business owners who are serious about building lasting success, who are committed to growing, and who are looking to learn from other likeminded business owners. Freeda is for wedding industry business owners and leaders who fit the following:
Ready to scale their business looking for accountability, resources and support.
Focused on hiring more people and looking for best practices and meeting other business owners who know how to do it
Growing quickly and looking for support on scaling and systems
Aiming to increase revenue in the next 6-12 months
Are serious about building longevity into their business and career within the wedding and events industry
Want to have a better hold on their retirement, health care and insurance options
Looking for a trusted group of peers at the same level

We consider multiple factors when matching members. It starts with the membership application Once you are invited to join, you will also be invited for an interview to help us better match you to the right group. The goal is to expose members to new perspectives while gleaning insights, sharing resources and holding one another accountable for your goals. Here are a few of the parameters we use to match members into groups: discipline (eg, planning, photography), price point (average revenue per booking), overheard (eg, hard costs, large teams, freelancers), geo (eg, where you’re based and markets you serve), goals for the year, and number of years in the business.
-
Part of the onboarding is filling out a match survey that uncovers the types of conversations you’d like to have and the challenges you’re facing. We’ll also get a better sense as to the types of business owners you’d like to be paired with (and not). The idea is to pair you with likeminded noncompetitive peers. Once you’ve taken the match survey, we will also reach out to you for an interview. This helps ensure that we get to know you personally and also provides us another opportunity to answer any questions you might have about the groups.
-
You don’t have to participate in a group. If you’d like to join to take advantage of the workshops, masterclasses, and events but do not wish to be matched to a group that meets monthly, that is completely okay. Once accepted to Freeda, you can indicate whether you would like to be matched (or not) on your onboarding survey.
-
No, group matching and monthly group meetings are included in the annual membership. If you would like to opt out of being matched to a group, that’s okay too.
-
Groups meet via video call online monthly. Every meeting is facilitated and designed to tackle the unique needs of the group.
